Dublin High School Seniors of 2019 invite the community to “Meet the Flockers.”

T he Shamrocks and Shenanigans St. Patrick’s celebration kicked off Thursday and Friday with the selection of 2019 royalty during the annual ambassador pageants.

This week will have Dubliners and guests seeing green as the annual St. Patrick’s festivities begin March 14 with the Little Miss Dublin Pageant at 7 p.m. in the Dublin Intermediate Cafeteria.


Three Lingleville Lady Cardinals placed high at the State Powerlifting meet in Waco on Friday.

LHS junior Ana Maldonado placed fifth in her class after lifting a total of 750 pounds.

Junior Dubliner Morgan Kent took seventh place at the State powerlifting meet in Waco on Saturday.

She squatted 365, the second strongest squat in her weight class.

Dublin’s bats were off to a slow start on Friday when the team fell to Clyde, 13-3. Jared Ricks hit a double in the last inning, made a steal and scored a run.

Jimmy Dell Woods died on March 11, 2019, in Belgium (Europe).

He was born in Dublin on Nov. 22, 1945, to Dean and Lillian (Gilbreath) Woods, who both preceded him to eternal life.

A funeral service for Frances Louise Steele was Saturday, March 9 at Harrell Memorial Chapel with burial following at Hanson Cemetery. Visitation was Friday night, from 6 to 8 p.m.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Leigha Skye Pringle, 24, of Dublin. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, to her father, Clayton Pringle, and mother, Kristyen Diane (Skipper) Cantero.
